Aug 01, 2018 I'm setting up a new unattend.xml right now to redeploy Windows 10 v1803 to 28 Dell laptops that all just received a new SSD upgrade. I'm using a separate imaging software I've used for years, but need to write a good XML file to use with Sysprep so it will boot up right. WSIM doesn't like my old XML file so trying to start from scratch. List of erp companies.
The Windows Unattended Setup Reference provides a complete listing of all the settings that you can use to automate the configuration and the deployment of Windows 10.
The Windows Unattended Setup Reference is organized by Windows components and Windows packages, in the same order that the Windows System Image Manager (Windows SIM) tool displays each Windows component and package.
Each Windows component includes settings that can be used to create an unattended-installation answer file. Each setting in a component is listed in its own individual topic. If an element contains a value, valid value types are described and XML examples are given.

May 15, 2019 older windows was on the older ssd (no raid drivers), so i left that alone, so I could continue to boot it. Hi everyone,
I’ve been a huge proponent and user of FOG for close to 10 years starting with Windows XP. My beef is that it seems Microsoft (what a surprise) has changed the core structure of unattend.xml with the version of sysprep for Win 10.
I’m reaching out to those using FOG with Win 10 for some assistance. In prior versions of sysprep it used to be that one can auto-name (use * for machine name) the PC and auto-join it to the domain all within the xml. Now I read some craziness about having to run power shell scripts and how the naming step is AFTER the joining step in sysprep and stuff like that.
Do you use sysprep with FOG for auto naming and auto joining your Win 10 PCs? If yes how did you solve that sysprep craziness?
